Celebrate Independence Day with festivities for all ages and be dazzled by beautiful fireworks from inside Dallas' historic Cotton Bowl Stadium at MetroPCS FAIR PARK FOURTH from 4:30 – 10 p.m. Wednesday, July 4, at Fair Park. It's Dallas' biggest fireworks display. Fair Park's participating museums will offer free or reduced admission including the African American Museum, Dallas Historical Society/Hall of State, the new Texas Museum of Automotive History, Texas Discovery Gardens, Museum of Nature & Science and The Children's Aquarium at Fair Park.
Free and open to the public, the family-fun event will feature a Dallas Wind Symphony patriotic performance, reduced admission to Fair Park's museums from 4:30 – 7:30 p.m., "dancing water" shows at the Esplanade Fountain, carnival games, plus a spectacular fireworks show sponsored by Gold Metal Recyclers. For the ultimate experience, guests are encouraged to watch the fireworks from inside the Cotton Bowl.
Admission is free. The City of Dallas charges $10 for parking within the gates of Fair Park. Parking will be available at Gates 2, 5, 6, 10 and 11, with handicap parking at Gate 5. Hollywood comes to Lakewood
Parade Entrants should gather at the starting point at 9:15. No need to register your bike or float, just pick up a Numbered Plate at the Start. Refreshments, Music and Awards after the Parade. Please DO NOT use squirt guns either from within the Parade or from the curb. Absolutely NO POLITICAL SOLICITATIONS!It's for the Kids!
The neighbors come out and everyone participates in the short parade in the neighborhood. Mike and Nancy Killough will continue their traditional parade and fireworks from their home on Prestonshire Lane at the same time. All are encouraged to dress in red, white and blue! There will be decorations available for bicycles, wagons, and pets. Following the parade will be drinks, sweets, and prizes! (All pets must stay on leash.)

Everyone who participates in the race much register beforehand, which costs $15 in advance and $20 on the day of the event for people who are older than 12. Children ages 12 and below can run for free but still need to register.

Fort Worth's 4th is moving back to its original home. Free music and family activities along the Trinity River at Panther Island Pavilion in Trinity Uptown. Activities include live music by Back in Black, tubing and kayaking on the Trinity River, a bounce house, mini golf and an obstacle course. Don't forget to bring your blankets and lawn chairs for front row seats to Fort Worth's biggest firework display.

Enjoy the "Star Spangled Spectacular" musical renditions of the Plano Community Band at 7 p.m. on July 3 in Haggard Park, 901 E. 15th St. This patriotic concert is free, so bring a blanket or chairs to enjoy the sounds of FREEdom.
Wednesday, July 4
The fun begins at 9 a.m. on July 4 with the Plano Independence Day Parade. Watch the parade along its route down Independence Parkway from 15th Street west to Parkhaven Drive. This great community event is presented by the Plano Early Lions Club.
Wrap up the evening at 9:30 p.m. with the All-American Fourth Fireworks. Leave the fireworks to the professionals as you sit back and enjoy this colorful fireworks display. Plano's sky lights up over Oak Point Park and Nature Preserve, east of U.S. 75 on Spring Creek Parkway. Bring a blanket and enjoy the FREE show. Picnic baskets are welcome or purchase items from the vendors on site. Parking will be available at Collin College, First United Methodist Church Plano and Plano Centre. Listen to the music carefully selected to play in sequence with the fireworks on KLAK 97.5 FM.
